Can anyone tell me if it is possible for me to take out my dead v6 and replace it with a v8:smokin:

No! - its been discussed before - not in a Hippoo bodyshell - the V6 is transverse and all the V8's are in-line.

But you CAN fit the Rover T220 Turbo lump with minor change (to the Gbox input shaft) that will give you a seriously quick motor - particularly if you go 2wd with the Torsen LSD available for the T220.

• Land Rover Discovery 4.4 V8 32V (295 HP)
• Land Rover Discovery 4.0 V8 (185 HP)
• Land Rover Discovery 3.9 V8 (5 dr) (182 HP)
• Land Rover Discovery 3.5 V8 (5 dr) (155 HP)
• Land Rover Discovery 3.5 V8 (5 dr) (166 HP)

Rover 220 Turbo Coupe 2.0 S4 (2 dr) (197 HP)

shd be fun

thats bin done a couple of times - but it tends to look as if its been stuck on top, coz the shell isnt designed to sit on a chassis. Looks kinda interesting tho...

freelander dropped onto a 3.9v8 rangie chassis and air suspension fitted all round.

i quite like the wun next to it wiv the ladder an roofrack..:scratching_chin:

As standard motor the V6 has more power to weight than all but the latest V8s....Have posted some details of tuning sites on here before or have a word with your local silly boy racers....you can easily get 200+

Anyone considered dropping a TDV6 in....
