Freelander TD4 TC Hill Descent warning lights.

Hi,
One of the members suggested checking the Reverse Switch by seeing if the reverse lights come on when I select reverse with the ignition on and the engine off. Well they do come on, so what does that mean?
And does the same apply to an Automatic?.

All you can do is replace the brake light switch and check the reverse lights. Anything else more complex is going to need the codes to be read.

Wot he ///\\\ said. If the TC light is lit - that's got nothing to do with gearbox switches (I don't think). The most likely cause is the brake switch but reading the codes will tell you.
