Afternoon Folks,

Looking for some advice on aftermarket speakers for my 2004 , I know all 4 need replaced as had the car since new.

Anyone got dimensions to the existing ones ? I’ve not yet managed to get my door cards off to take a look.

Or any links to ones they will fit without any modification.

I’m having to order 2 window regulators also , so trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Anyone point me in the right direction for both items ?

TIA

Hi,

I think there you have 2 speakers on each front door ( a small one and a big one ).
For little one, you'll be certain to break a small plastic part.
You need to remove one door trim which is pretty easy, to be sure of the size of speakers
Why did you need to change the speakers in the first place, I have the orginal ones with the cd unit and they still doing there job ;)

For the window regulator you can put a budget window regulator like the britpart one or go with the valeo one, better quality and makes less noise.
Don't froget to lubricate the new one. They always break if there are never used, so they need to be used ;)
Look at online sellers like britcar or lrdirect or any other one to have an idea.

The door hole will fit standard size 6½" speakers. The wires will need the correct terminals fitted though, and 4 X 2.5mm holes need to be drilled in the door for securing the new speakers.
Many forum members have had good success with JVC CS J620 universal coaxial speakers.

The factory plugs need cutting off, and standard speaker spade terminals crimped on.
You need to drill 4 2.5mm holes in the door for the screws. It takes a few minutes to make the speakers fit.
