Gents,

I have an occasional problem with my Freelander (2.0 L series diesel) loosing power, according to a testbook session the prime suspects are a bad MAF sensor or a sticking fuel solenoid.

I know that the Rover 200 was available with an L series diesel engine. Presumably at least the basic core of the engine is the same as when fitted to a Freelander but what about the rest, particularly the MAF sensor, fuel solenoid (and / or entire pump assy)?

I may have access to an R reg (same as my Freelander) Rover 200 which runs well but has been written off and I'm wondering if it's worth acquiring a few bits?

Many thanks in advance
Richard
