Hi guys,
So my first post here, after acquiring a freelander 1.8 petrol estate 2001.
Now before i start on the leaks a little about the car, I bought it 6 weeks ago with 56k on the clock. I deceided straight away to change the head gasket as I know these are rubbish. SO, all done and new valves seals up graded gaskets, new belts and seals, runs sweet with loads of power,,, so chuffed.
The rear final drive seals are leaking , i have the new seals and cir clips. but i cant get the shafts out of the drive block.
I`ve tried hard enough to think this is going to damage something, i`m also aware landrover use a tool Ltr 51-014 which i don`t have and cant find on any site, except USA for over £80. So i`m thinking of making one but don`t have this tools dimensions. Also if anyone knows an easy way that these come out please let me know.

This is the introduce yourself section, mate. Where you just say a few words about yourself and your Landy. A technical question about your motor should go in the freelander section of the forum.
