Freelander rear badge - Removal

Hi.

Anyone removed the rear badge on the Freelander (the freelander badge on a 52 plate pre facelift model)? Some little ****s have been at my badges with a screwdriver trying to nick them and the freelander badge is cracked, all the lacquer coating is ruined and it looks awful . Is it held on with pop studs or is it just glued on? Going to order a replacement but just wondered if it would pull stright off or if I would need to remove the tailgate trim to push it out.

Thanks
John

If its like the other badges on the freeby (on the side and front grill) then it's just stuck on with adhesive. I take it you mean the badge thats stuck onto the plastic part that spans the left hand side of the rear door to half way in between the spare wheel?

If it's the whole plastic part you want to remove, this is held on by pop studs. It's easiest to work from the bottom with the back door open and then you have to slide it to the left.
