Freelander problems - need help from yoy guys

Hi people. I bought a Freelander in 1999 and now I have several problems with motor acceleration. It looks like some electrical problem, because it accelarates himself and disaccelarate again with no meaning. Can anyone help me please? I don´t have any trust at all with Land Rover in Portugal, the service they give is terrible. It´s my second Land Rover and I´m getting desperate. :(
 
Welcome Radicalbiker!

Have a look at the top of the trottle peddle, there should be a black tube shaped thing there,(throttle positioning sensor)?? and get it checked out to make sure its working ok.
I think there are some previous posts on here!? but not related to your particular problem.
What model have freelander have you got?

Hi Mondo, first of all, thanks a lot for your reply. I´ve checked what you said and it seems ok, but at the same time I had a problem with the diesel filter and after remove the battery and some connectors related with that stuff...it looks ok!!! Strange but today the problem didn´t appear again. I´ll wait a few days and then I say something to you again. Many thanks my dear friend and enjoy life. Best regards.

Hi again, looks like the problem is already solved. Between the last post I made and this one, no more fails. It´s sounds good to me. Thanks a lot for your support.

I'm glad yer sorted but dont go and leave us ,other wise ive gotta keep lookin at hundreds of Mondo pics . . . :D
 
Sparky, please, post summat original instead of trawling through the back catalogue and posting useless comments on stuff thats been dead and buried for years..I mean, christ mate, the last post before yours was 9 months ago FFS, do you think if the geezer hadn't sorted it by now he wouldn't have a) posted again or b) sold the ****a by now?

I don't loose me rag often on these forums, but its not as if this is the first post you've done this on, is it? :mad:
