Hi,
just bought a 4 year old 2.0 diesel manual and am interested to hear from any other freelander owners who have bought power pack ECU bypass systems as opposed to upgrading the ECU chip, any recommendations?

Thanks.

Blippies right, I've got a Roverron & it's very good. Do the following & you'll be impressed.

1. Replace air filter

2. Replace crankcase valve/breather assembly

3. Replace fuel filter

4. Fit egr bypass available from ebay (search "td4 egr")

5. Fit Roverron synergy 2 available via Blippies link

Thanks for reply, I am really trying to improve fuel economy, 60 ml round trip every day taking almost exactly a quarter of a tank, not towing with the vehicle at all and happy with general performance. One other question my trip meter is measuring in Km - can this be reset for miles?

Most of the chips work by adjusting the fuelling & aren't really your best option for economy.
Your best bet is to fit the egr bypass & use Millers powersport 4 diesel fuel additive. This will give around a combined 10% increase in economy which will eventually pay for the bypass & Millers itself with the benefit of improved performance & clean injection system. Give your tyres an extra 2psi pressure & check them regularly & make sure your air filter, fuel filter & breather filter are tiptop.
