Need to touch up some stone chips and went to get the paint code on the VIN plate on the bulkhead. There is a paint code section but no details are stamped on it ,WTF !
Is that the only point of info on the car re paint code ?
It's a 11-99 petrol 5 door Anniversary model in a dark metallic green. I thought it was Goodwood green and got a paint tube from a LR dealer but it's no where near a match.
Anybody got paint code details ?

50th Anniversary FL's came in Atlantis Blue or White Gold, with a leather interior.

Mmm... I'll bow to your better knowledge .
The service book states model as " Freelander M25 " which may be a model sold by dealers within the M25 circle . The supplying dealer was Park Lane Land Rover London .
It is fitted with every listed option inc Leather, Harmon Kardon,LR spots , 17" alloys etc.
Whatever the model there's still no bloody paint code on the VIN plate which is the first time I've seen such a fundamental ommission.

Contacted main dealer re the paint code.
Gave him the VIN number and after much key board tapping he comes back to say that no paint code is listed against the car.
He then went on to say that there are five greens that were used on the FL and suggested that I take the car to a motor factor to see if they can match it with a swatch.I explained that I would not be in the FL when I visited the main town 55 miles from my home where I could speak to a motor factor / paint supplier . His reply was , " just take a small part of the car off and take it with you ,show them it and they will be able to match it "
So I said yeah like what , a door , bonnet or maybe the tailgate .....

FFS what a bunch of *un*s . I've never seen or had a car that left the factory without a simple fundamental item as a paint code stamped on it somewhere, but they couldn't even get that right............

I've never seen a Land Rover with the paint code stamped on the plate!

The paint code for the freelander should be on the plate fixed to the passengers side door pillar (the B pillar) mine is.

As howardo I'd say it's an Epsom green. I have such an Epsom green and on the driver's pillar it says: paint - 961 trim Q. (lhd so my driver's pillar is your passenger side). Have also a repair kit for this >Epsom green, it says: Touch-Up Kit and has reference # STC 1774 VT. The kit has a paint stick and a clear lacquer stick. Ciao.

 It is ,your right and I'm a blind idiot . Had the car over 6 years and the only defence I have is that it's my wifes........
I looked on the drivers side B piller prior to finding the scuttle /bulkhead plate so I nearly got it ........:p
961 is the code as was suggested so I'll be able to get some mixed up on Wednesday.

Thanks y'all

I don't understand why the dealership couldn't tell you this, goes to show they are only interested in new cars.

I'm afraid the dealership in question is notorious for that . I was speaking to a father and son who operate a dent removal company over here and they have recently purchased TWO new FL 2 commercials 's for their business , nearly € 46 K . One was cutting out and after being recovered to the dealer for the second time they told him they were too busy servicing to look at it for two days . He said that he had to contact LR direct and demand that the garage fixed it immediatly . They did ( engine bay fuse box corrosion:eek: which when the ambient temp in the engine bay got hot caused the plastic case of the box to warp and break a circuit )
He says he will travel another 40 miles to the next nearest dealer from now on.
