hi everyone, heres a good one for anyone that may be able to help.
bought a T plate freelander 1.8 petrol. we bought it as a non runner, changed head gasket as usual precaution, new cam belt, pulleys etc, still non start, tries to but wont, we have discovered that if we remove the fuel pump fuse after a long time of cranking it will start, once started fuel pump fuse back in and it runs ok, a little lumpy on idle but otherwise ok, drives fine, revs up ok almost as if nothing wrong with it, but when we turn it off and try to restart, tries to start but wont, back to the fuel pump fuse once again, and it starts. we have changed the inlet air temp sensor, the coolant temp sensor, plugs, leads, dizzy cap, injectors, checked all pipework, no air leaks, plugged in snap on diagnostics, no faults in system data all seems fine, rechecked cam timing, checked compression, changed lambda probes, checked exhaust, run out of ideas now, any help please
