Freelander or p38 ???

I have a 2004 freelander td4 but keep toying with idea of swapping it in for a P38 Range rover but I just can’t decide,
keep the freelander with only 60k on the clock or go for the older higher mileage P38
HELP
 
get the P38 .. they are so much better for your health , cos you'll spend all your time fixing it = keeps you fit and no money left to spend on booze , fags , or burgers .
Simples !
 
Tell u what.. I'll swap you for my 97 dse, I'll then sell your.. Erm, freelander, & buy mesen another newer p38.. Interested??
 
What a strange question. If you want to pose around on tarmac and not get your hands dirty stick with the freelander.


If you want to hone your mechanical and electrical skills and go offroad then get the P38.

Simples.
 
Got both and retired so its a full time job keeping them on the road

P38 4.6HSE a great car loads of power pulls the old van anywhere and cruises all day effortlessly. If you can afford the juice.

Freelander 3dr great fun and drives well but not in the same class as the p38


If I were to go for another P38 the I would go for the top of the range Holland and Holland. Its a bit old boyish inside. but so am I so it would suit me. Even got a shotgun box in the boot VHS player and monitors in headrests. Its also my era.

Before you buy checkout the threads on this site for advice as you will need to check everything twice with particular attention to the electrics. Or your doomed.




Pause for acidic monocelabic comments


Love them both for different reasons, but the words Land Rover and used means that you need to do as much of the work as possible yourself.
Beware of some aftermarket parts as they can cause more trouble than they are worth. Cost me a bundle when I had a Classic and had to buy all the ignition system twice, found afterwards that it is well known only to buy best quality distributor parts.
