Hello everyone , Im driving Freelander 1.8 , 2000th year edition coupe with LPG ( autogas ) . I want to ask you that how can I increase my ride's height for 10 cm ? Can I use any other car's height rising kits for my car ? In my country I can find defender and discovery height kits but I cant find for freelander. Thank you for your concern from now...

Lift kits are different from other land rovers. So you'll need to find someone who will ship it to you. 50mm is about as high as you can go with a lift. Even then you'll need to trim the inner wing.
40mm should fit without an issue though. You'll need to add larger tyres to gain more hight.

I fitted the Bearmach 50 mm spacer kit (not springs and dampers). Its BA 2225 I think.

You'll also need Castor correction bolts - I sourced some from Fleabay.
Oh and extended brake lines - think I got some frome Britpart.

All very easy to fit - but if its clearance than you need bigger tyres - I managed to shoehorn in 235/65/R17 under but needed modification to the wheel arches, 2 inch strut spacers and 50mm wheel spacers.

I spent the best part of £1k doing it, and all that happened was about a year later the gearbox blew under the strain.

I found my TD4 very capable for what it was as standard, but to be honest I wouldn't recommend going to far beyond its limits.

The investment in a good set of quality all terrain tyres would have been a better option. You live and learn....

Looked the nuts though :)

There are a few re-sellers of lift kits for the Freelander 1 around - giving lifts of anywhere between 30-50mm. Look up Alibro's thread on her ("how to fit a 50mm lift kit" or something similar to that) and you can see, as Nodge alluded, that there is a fair bit of work involved in installing a 50mm lift it. Really interested in what Retrospaceman says about the Bearmach kit being simple to fit though? I wonder how this differs from the MuddyMods version?

Anil, great looking FL you have there! Just wondering why you think you need a lift kit? Are you finding that your car is grounding out a lot off road?

I think the exhaust is very close to the times ... I want you to stand imposing a little :))

I understand both! The 50mm lift looks like a biggie to do: inner wind modification and some chopping of the chassis rails. 40mm involves less chopping (inner wing only). Depending on your requirements, that might be all you need to do?
