Hi guys,

This morning my gf missed her train because we had to wait so damned long for the heater to put warm air onto the bloody windscreen. Chalk that up as a disadvanhtage to the EWP by the way, the heater goes to ****. The pump hardly puts any water around on cold days because the ram air and ambient temp does most of the work so barely any hot water gets put through the heater until you are well up to temp. Time to install the EBP :(.

Anyway, did FL1's every get a heated windscreen? And could I buy one somewhere and install it into my facelift SE? I'm fooking sick of waiting for it to heat up.

Will.

That's the simplest solution, think SolobyRob suggested a bit of de icer on a rag. Cheaper than a new windscreen  but you know me I'm a sucker for toys.

Yes they did get a heated windscreen and according to an Autoglass fitter the wiring is all in place. Certainly it's there in the blank position above the switch for the rear screen heater.

The glass itself is an eye-watering price though. IIRC not much change out of £1000

Feck me! I'll have two, one for me disco too:D

Ideal time for the EBP, methinks.

Yep, the problem is that not enough water is being sent to the heater so fingers crossed it'll cure it. May even be better than stock :). I think we're going to wire it up to the blower control, a constant 6v would probably be enough I imagine. It's been sitting here since I bought it, really should fit it soon!

I still like my idea:) but we can give it a go if you insist:D are we taking bets on a controller fault cos it don't reach temp quick enough or summat daft?

What was your idea again? I thought the blow control was the one? I doubt it will fault it, it would have to be stone cold. The only reason it did before was due to that naff sensor.

You bet your gosh darned rear end a turbo is on my xmas list :D!
