Freelander Glow Plugs - HOW DIFFICULT??

Surely there must be another way of replacing no.1 plug without removing the fuel pump - daftest thing I ever read (Mr Haynes et al !!).

if its in the way you will have to remove it there is always some thing in the way on simple jobs

as if things werent bad enough - first plug I tried to undo snapped off in the head - marvelous, bloody marvelous - could only happen to me!!!

thats because you didn't have the socket/spanner on straight, i was told that many years ago when i was at college

im thinking that I did have it on straight....it was 4 turns out before it let go!!....good advice though!

you possibly leant the spanner/socket over at 4 turns out

well maybe, but Im going to convince myself that it must have been a weak plug!!
