hi and good morning, I have a 2014 freelander with an electronic handbrake.the handbrake has a fault ,if i dont use it for a few weeks it will miraculously start to work and work for a few days or even weeks but always reverts to hanbrake fault push ok to clear ,my diagnostics tells me that there is a general wiring fault but no more than that.sometimes when i push ok and flick the handbrake on and instantly off it will go off and work for a while meaning i can use cruise control (when its showing a fault cruise control wont work.can anyone tell me where the handbrake module is and have you any idea where else the fault could lye, Thanks Kieron

You could try unplugging the wiring from the rear brake, and see if any corrosion is taking place, spray with electrical contact cleaner only, into the plug and pins on the electronic motor.
