freelander diesel pre td4

help needed ,,a few questions to ask
1 will the engine come out without gearbox
2 is there anything i should watch out for
3 should i just burn it
4 is there any charities that fit engines for free
5 if battery is taken of for few days do i have to reset anything

well engines out,u haveto drop the crossmember off and get it out the way,
which after two hours of trying to get it out the top seemed the only thing to do:doh:now just got to lift car over engine ,clean up all the oil from my mates garage floor and fit the new engine ,and all this on me own,not the best idea but i know this will be the last engine i will ever fit[im to old for this ****]

engine in and running sweet but speeds,s not working so which sensor is it and how much oil goes in gearbox and trans box
