Freelander diesel engine swop

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me with a Freelander engine problem.
Today my diesel engine seized up and requires replacing with a new unit.
My Freelander is a Jan 1999 2.0 L series diesel engine, can anyone tell me whether a Rover 24/45 turbo intercooled unit will fit, and whether any modifications will need to be made. (diesel pump etc)
I have been told the older 200/400 series intercooled units will fit, but I am looking to get the newest and lowest mileage replacement unit I can find.
Any help greatly appreciated.

i beleive the block is the same the only difference is the sump pan which you will need to swap over (different mounting position) it will be cheaper for you to swap all running gear onto 2nd hand stripped block and head, the freelander should be intercooled so it should be a straight swap (hopefully)
