Hello all.

I have a 2001 2.0 TD4 Freelander auto with an auto box issue that i would appreciate any advice on. When the car is up to temperature and you are driving along in 4th, if you try to accelerate quite hard, it starts to pick up speed then all of a sudden you lose drive and the engine revs right round. I have pulled two codes which are:

P0740 - Lock up clutch out of range.
P0734 - 4th gear ratio out of range.

Has anyone come across this before and sorted?

Many thanks.

Does it do it in 5th too? Sounds like the TC clutch is slipping. But it would do it in 5th as well as 4th.

When was the fluid last changed?

How many miles on it?

My TC clutch started to shudder when engaging recently. I changed the fluid twice, which didn't help. I then added some Dr Tranny Shudder Fix, which has worked up to a point.
