Well after two years of trouble free motoring with my lovely TD4 ES, me and my good lady decided to go and look for a newer Freelander (Face Lift Model).

We seen at our local dealer a 54 plate facelift for £12480 which seemed a good price but when we went in they advised us that they were selling their 06 plate demos for a bargain price of £12995. Some of you may know that i am a car salesman myself and i can honestly say how suprised i was at the service and genuine kindness we received from Stratstone in Durham, especially considering the horror stories i had heard from other forum members. The sales lady Steph, even agreed to transfer a lot of the accesories we have on our ES to the Adventurer at their cost even after we had agreed the deal.

So on friday we picked up our 06 plate TD4 Stationwagon adventurer with only £12995. Granted it is not as good as spec as our ES but it is a lot newer and still under warranty.

Lets hope our third freelander is as good as the others.

Pics to follow when the bling is put on on Monday

It drives superb. Everything is stiff and positive (no not me).

The steering wheel seems to be connected to the wheels (if you know what i mean) and the suspension feels fantastic. My old car only had 56k on the clock but the differences are amazing.

Also the seats are more comfortable and i managed to get a one without a sun roof so i can actually sit comfortably in this one lol.

When it gets dark i can actually see now, the lights are great.

Finally, the engine bay is quite different. The engine conver has now gone and bits are not where they used to be
