Freelander 2005 A/C drain location

Does the air conditioning drain hose (drains water from evap unit) extend through the bulkhead and is it accessed through the engine compartment? I have the water on the passenger side floorwell and it is not from the sunroof drains, the front window or roof. It does not appear to come from the heater air intake either but of that I am not completely sure. Can I try to clear any blockage by pushing a wire (bicycle cable) up from the open end of the drain pipe or could I cause some damage to the evap unit? I am not anxious to take everything apart because it appears from the manual that I would have to remove the complete fascia. Not happening!

Advice?? All other forums talk about drains going through the floor on either side of the transmission and all ;you have to do is squeeze the nipple - or reconnect the hose where it goes through the floor in the footwells.. Not with this land rover! Took me days to find the hose.

If you are not losing coolant from the expansion bottle, then it won't be the heater matrix. If you are, then that'll likely be your culprit.

Dunno about the drains.

A/C drain comes out at base of bulkhead near centre. About 1 inch floppy pipe with valve on end.

Mine squirted water into passenger footwell, carpet had not been cut around hose from LR !!!!

Thanks! I have completely cut the carpet and foam backing from around the evaporator unit and then enlarged the hole in the underpad? (material under the carpet) that the drain goes through. I am going to run the A/C tomorrow to see what happens. Carpet is out so I don't care if anything leaks now. Nice to get it repaired and the (dry) carpet and passenger seat back in.

OK, but on mine there was a small punched section of carpet stuck inside the drain pipe. Like the pipe had been fitted, carpet punched, but carpet trapped inside drain tube. Worth removing and checking.
