Hi,
On the green clock/radio display on my 1.8i 2000 freelander there are two push buttons on the left hand side for setting the clock.
The pushbuttons each activate a "switch" that fits on the circuit board.
One of these switches has disintegrated and the grey plastic part has split so it doesnt stay on the board over the contacts. (I think its a contactless proximity switch and there is a magnet is side the grey rubber.?)
Does anyone have an old display that is faulty and beyond the normal repair of missing segments that still has the grey "switches" on the circuit board that the two black long plastic push buttons activate? The cost of a new display is totally outrageous and the Land Rover garage dont sell parts, just the whole unit. I dont need the whole unit, just the grey switches.. thanks.
PLease let me know, Cheers.....
