Freelander 2 under 2k advice?

Hi all

I'm looking to buy a decent runaround for under 2k and have came across a few diesel auto Freelander 2's with the TD4 engine in my price range. I plan to own the car for about 6 months in which time I will be covering a fair few miles.

Does anyone have any advice on what to look for when buying, common issues etc?

You'll be very lucky to get a FL2 for £2k. I paid that for one that required an engine repair.

A FL2 with MOT will be £3k +, with above average mileage and an MOT.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the FL1 Facelift model, which can be had from upwards of £1500.
