Hi, fairly new Freelander 2, 2013 .
Had rear bearings, rear diff and rear nearside driveshaft done.
However got noisy tyres (bell engineering said tyre noise ) as got Wrangler HP all weather 103V on the back .
Looking to change but not sure what to change to.
Any recommendations please
Thanks

Should really have all 4 in an ideal world.
What’s your intended use? Solely road? Bit of green laning? Off-road at all?

Thanks, was thinking this . At this moment I think it will be mainly road use
The Wrangler HPs are the factory tyre, and aren't that noisy. I'd be checking the suspension alignment, as out of spec alignment will cause the tyres to sawtooth, which makes noise.
Try swapping the tyres left to right, right to left and see if the sound goes away. If so then it's likely the suspension alignment has caused the tyre problem.

Hi, you mentioned replacing all 4 , will it cause damage if I drive with different front and rear tyres. Thanks
An F1 uses a VCU for its 4 wheel drive - that’s super-important to have matching tyres (and therefore diameters).

The F2 uses a Haldex system for its 4 wheel drive management, which is more forgiving. In an ideal world you’d do all 4, but if not, make sure to change both tyres on an axle as a minimum.

Thanks for the info , learning all the time . Just need to choose tyres now .

I'd personally fit the same make as the spare, which is normally thr wrangler HP. Some cars left the factory with Continental tyres, which are also good, but can crack between the threads.
My preference is the wrangler HP, as they're rated for all weather conditions, including snow.

Otherwise Yokohama Geolander AT 015 are good, but also similarly priced to the wrangler, so 4 are needed, whereas only 2 wranglers would be needed now, as the old ones can go on the front until replacement is needed.
