Freelander 2 steering

morning.
I have a freelander 2 2014 we have had quite a lot of problems this year but would like some advice on the latest . Since couple of months ago
There's a noise from the right side of the engine it seems especially when the vehicle is under load it always comes on when the air con is running at points I'm assuming it's the alternator on its way out and will be replaced when I have the cash. But this week its started making a squeal on the steering especially on sharper turns. All the fluid levels are fine. Any ideas would be great I'm half thinking pump but hoping not or could it be related to the alternator assuming that is failing thanks

Have you checked the belt tensioner?

It could be a worn accessory belt, as all those things you've mentioned are driven off the accessory belt. It could also be the crankshaft damper pulley is delaminating, which drives the accessory belt.
