Hi guys im just after some advise/help i have a freelander 2 it wont start, it cranks over but no fuel is being sent from tank, plugged in dianostics and its showing a crash input in the BCM, would this disable the pump and also stop it from starting? Checked all fuses and all are good. Thanks.

The crash input shouldn't stop it starting, once the ignition has been cycled twice, after the code was registered.

What caused it to stop starting is more important to know.

If the fuel line from the tank has been disconnected, then you'll need to use a special hand primer to pull the fuel back up to the filter, and prime the HP circuit.
There's no electric pump in the tank to supply the engine with fuel, the fuel being under vacuum from a lift pump, which is part of the HP pump.

What happened before it didn't start?

I just bought it like this, do you know if the intank primer has a fuse and relay? If so which ones thanks. We had the in tank primer working when powered with a power probe but seems like when we put the plug back in theres no power to the plug.

There's no primer pump in the tank.
The pump in the tank is just a transfer pump, which moves fuel from one side of the (saddle) tank to the other.

If the fuel gauge is showing about ¼ and all you can do is draw air at the filter and not fuel, then it's likely the transfer pump has an issue.

However if it's got more than ¼ on the gauge, the problem is likely elsewhere, but you'll need to prime the system with the primer tool.

The fuel system isn't self priming, so needs to be done manually.
