Freelander 2 rear hub

Hi guys how easy is it to remove a rear hub on the Freelander 2 I need to replace both back plates, I've removed the drum/disc shoes, I was going to remove hub nut but not sure what direction it goes and if I need some sort of equipment to remove the hub, could anyone help me with this, many thanks.
