I have a 2013 Freelander 2, HSE SD4 which I am generally delighted with. However, I have 3 issues I would welcome help with.

1. When I turn heating onto auto at 24C, the A/C light comes on - I don't want cooling though - is there a reason for this? It also happens when I press the defrost button.

2. My EGR went on the blink and it was traced to a rodent attack! Any ideas as to how to prevent Rodents from eating my underside in future please?

3. I have a random and very intrusive "Bing-Bong" sound like a loud door chime. No fault indicators and it mutes the radio. It can happen several times in an hour, or not for 2 weeks, when driving. Checked everything that plugs in for dirty connectors but that has not solved it. Any thoughts please?

4. It lacks a reversing camera - any thoughts on how best to fit one please?

Thanks
Martin

The climate control is automatic, so it will activate AC to eliminate dampness in the air, which can be a real problem once warm air starts to dry off damp carpets. The cooling effect is negligible, but the drying effect is invaluable for keeping the windows fog free.

Rodents are a pain. We live in a rural location, surrounded by farmland. Every car we've had has suffered some sort of rodent damage, from minor rubber bits being chewed, to wiring damage to lighting circuits, and even a chewed seat belt.
We keep bate stations around our property, which does seem to reduce the frequency of rodent attacks. We've now get an electric car, so hopefully keeping the bate stations well stocked will prevent wiring damage to the EV.

No idea what is causing the random bongs. My FL2 would occasionally pick up objects from the front PDC sensors, which would give a quick beep, and drop the stereo volume for a second or so.

Q4.
Probably not easy, due to all those things needing some sort of programming, other than the factory default software.
