Freelander 2 Mileage

Looking at getting a Freelander 2 to tow our caravan for the next couple of years, and wondering what sort of mileage would be OK, assuming a full service history, cambelt done, etc. What mileage are these engines generally good for?

300k miles should be pretty easy to obtain. It's not the engine that causes high mileage issues, it's the driveline components which LR deemed as maintenance free for life. This very dumb plan causes these components to have a limited life.
Pretend owners will change all the fluids in a timely manner, however those that only stick to the LR service intervals generally have issues with the Haldex, rear diff, PTU and gearbox. So basically you'll want to look for a vehicle that has been maintained in a fastidious fashion, or has had thise items already replaced.
