Hi
Hope someone can help ! Freelander 2 HSE 07 my fuel gauge is stuck on 1/4 tank , could this be a fuse problem or something a little more serious ?

Welcome to the forum.
First off, pop along to the new members area of the forum, and say hi. ;)
Second. It's best to start a new thread, with a title that is relevant or descriptive, as just telling us what vehicle you have will simply get lost in the noise, and nobody will know what the thread is about, unless they click on it, but may don't. ;)

Now the issue at hand.
When you say it stays at ¼, is that when there's less than ¼ of a tank, or more than ¼ of a tank, or both?

Hello apologies for not using the correct procedure . I will pop to the new Members room . The Freelander 2 fuel gauge is on quarter even when I have filled up .

Just had quick Google search and there are lots of discussions around fuel gauge issues on the fl2

Most seem to involve sensors being replaced by main dealer

Will see what more knowledgeable peeps come back to you with though

I believe that a fuel gauge stuck at ¼ regardless of tank contents will be the level sensor unit.
Replacing it and it's integral pump and harness is necessary, and a good thing, as the pumps are known to fail, as is part of the harness.

Unfortunately it's a tank out job, so will be quite an expensive job.

That's what i was seeing but with no knowledge was only going on T'internet lol

On my old car forum I was one of the 'experts' lol....did loads of tech write ups etc.
