Hello, we've had a cutting out problem for some time, when on idle in gear (automatic) she will cut out momentarily continually, some time's worse than before, it's worse in gear with a bit of load put her in neutral and it almost idles normally, more recently it's been noticeable at higher speeds, get's worse as the fuel level drops in the tank. The engine never stops completely. any help will be greatly received

What year is it?
Poor running and stalling is often fuel related, either an aftermarket fuel filter can cause it, particularly if it's a hot day.
Stalling when the tank is below ¼ is often fuel transfer pump related.

It's best to run a diagnostic, or maybe measure the transfer pump current, to see what it's pulling. If it's not pulling over 6 Amps, it's likely failed, or has a wiring fault.

Just a update, I read a post about a similar problem, one reply said try disconnecting and reconnecting the multi plug on top of the tank, which seems to have sorted it, I've ordered some electrical contact cleaner to give the contacts a clean, but since disconnecting and reconnecting she's only cut-out once.
