Has anyone had problems like me with their jacto transmission. I start and drive my freelander TD4 2001 in the morning and all the gears seem rough as the vehicle heats up. The auto transmission seems to stay rough and you can feel every gear change up and down until I switch off the engine for about 2 minutes when warm then start up again. After this I cannot even feel the gear change and everything seems smooth and normal and lasts for the rest of the day. The transmission fluid has been changed by myself with the correct fluid and its still has the same problem so I would thing it is electrical. Any suggestions or advice would be great .thanks

You could measure the resistance yourself by splitting the 2 barrel connectors, if you have a meter. Also check fault codes in the auto's computer.

Just to let everyone know I was about to take the vehicle to an auto specialist (not that there are too many in Mauritius and here they strip and fix as spare parts are hard to get hold of and forget about new) and the gremlin seems to have gone and for the first time since I bought the vehicle the auto transmission seems to be working even when cold and has been good for the last few days. Lets hope it stays like that and may be I'll do another auto-transmission oil change in a month.
