Freelander 1 petrol fuel pump

Hi anyone know how to test the fuel pump with a multimeter? I have 2 black , 1 white and a green ?
I'm thinking this might be the reason it starts then stops immediately. Thanks again

Have you removed the pump for testing?
I don't know, but I'm assuming you can somehow put 12v across it and get it to run (or not), but I'd only be playing with the potential dancing-pixie sparks well away from any petrol
