Sure I can. Where are you ? Not sure about posting the long sill strip !!
I am in scotland. I would be Ok with you posting the long sill strip either taped to a piece of wood or in a tube (like when I order fishing rods) I have attached a photo so you can see exactly the parts needed

Hi Andy - a long, long shot...

I just did my exhaust manifold gaskets in readiness for the MoT; the remnants of my exhaust manifold heat-shield have pretty much crumbled to dust. I literally have nothing left to reattach it to the car..!

Do you have a heat-shield for a 1997-2000 1.8? (earlier version with the cat underneath the car and not part of the exhaust manifold).

Mine has aircon, so the alternator at the top left of the Engine bay as you look from the front of the car...which is the reason I want one....that alternator wiring now looks pretty vulnerable without a heat-shield...

New and secondhand they appear to be unobtainium, but the later one for the 1.8's with the cat in the manifold at like £300 new..!!! I do have a "Plan B" which involves fabri-cobbling something out of a £25 sheet of aluminium heat-shield material designed for kit cars, but the quicker and less faffy option would be to buy a second hand one!

Sorry Malcolm, they all go the same way.
Fabrication is the way forward.
Temporarily wrap the cables with heat foil or the like?
