ThanksI had this too - I used a small drill bit, I think it was about 2 or 3mm and was going to use an 'easy-out' on it. I got somewhere between 5 and 10mm down the thread that was left in the mount and noticed it moved slightly. Reversed the drill and it unscrewed with the drill bit. That was on a 15 year old FL1 when I accidentally snapped it off clearing snow from the roof .
Give that a go to start with, other than that you could go to a breakers yard and get a replacement stem and mount.
