Hello,
I bought an old freelander (L314) 1.8 petrol car 3 months ago. I try to repair but not easy to find parts and competent expert. The motor works fine but since about 2 weeks the diag show the o2 sensor (lamp) is fixed .435v (default) and the motor is in open loop state.
I replaced the o2 sensor to a delphi (ES20239-12b1) but I see no changes. I measuered the sensor with a gas lamp and I see the sensor works fine (in the test: 0-0.7v). I checked the heating and i measuerd 14v and the sensor is hot.
I measuered the sensor signal wires with a digital multimeter close to the ecu (7-18 wires) and when i disconnected the lambda i se about 0.67v (may be a transistor opening.
I reconnected the lambda and I measured this 0.67v again. I started the motor and i measured about 0.58v and for a short time 0.3-0.6v.
The MAP value is about 34kpa, coolant 89C. I checked the compression and a little bit more than 14bar so i hink the engine generally in good state. I replaced the air filter, oil, sparks, etc.
Anybody has an idea whats wrong, is it an ECU or other problem, or may be the deplhi sensor is not really compatible?
