I've got two discos to collect from a farm near Ribchester. One, the 300TDi, needs taking to my house in Bamber Bridge (just south of Preston - about 12 miles) whilst the other is payment for moving that vehicle from Ribchester to BB (Bamber Bridge not Blue Beasty ) i.e. you get the 2nd car for doing the moving! I've basically been given 2 discovery mk1 cars both of which are MOT failures and have been parked up for a couple of years. They are in a pitiful state but the basics are there i.e. axles, props, transfer box, gearbox and 200TDi engine plus 4 crap wheels and the body which you can weigh in. I want the 300TDi as I have a 300TDi defender already.
I was supposed to collect these weeks ago but my mate with the recovery abilities has been working non stop and his cut was the 200TDi.
I'm hoping that they are still available, if they are I need to know that I have an alternative person able to recover both (and keep one as payment).
What YOU need to be able to do:
The farm track is passable only in a 4x4, is quite steep and pot holed and the cars are in two yards that are more like bomb sites. Both cars are in a right state having been left so not really safe to just tow either, they would be best winched onto some kind of trailer having pulled them up the track to the flatter area. You need to have access to a vehicle trailer and be able to winch a discovery onto it then off at the other ends. We move the 300TDi first then go back and collect the 200TDi which you can then do what you like with.
I'm looking at doing this 2nd/3rd August afternoon IF they are still available, just waiting for confirmation.
