can someone explain it i have taken rear propshaft off to fit new uj and wanted to move 110 forward but had no drive on front unless was in diff lock but had reverse is this normal? dave

Yes once you remove a propshaft drive goes to point of least resistance. by engaging difflock you're equalising drive to both front and rear props. Thus allowing front wheels to turn.

haven't usually got any drive unless difflock is engaged. that's why if you snap an half shaft you lose all drive unless you engage difflock. haven't got a clue why reverse would work.

I broke a half shaft recently but had no drive even with the difflock engaged does this mean my difflock is not working

no just the one The lever moves fine but the light on the dash dont come on Anyone got any idea what the problem might be

Thanks I suppose thats the simplest and cheapest sollution or are they no handy fixes this time
