Hey guys,

My Landranger maps arrived today and I had a look for some BOATs over a cuppa and turned up a few surprising ones. I've drawn a quick map in google for those that want to take a look. Nothing looks to me to be restricted although the route does pass through some farms.

Doesn't look like anything very challenging but still it might be a nice trip. Maybe I'll try out the route this weekend :).

Will.

Very interesting. I suppose the challenge with this initially is the figuring out if its legal with all the restrictions we have these days? Bit bloody obvious, I know!

Well as long as there are no TR's on the trails it should be fine. Accoarding to the map they are BOATs so they should be ok :). But there are hardly any BOATs on either my Nottingham and Loughborough or Buxton and Matlock maps :(. Quite a few "Other route with public access's" but you have to be very careful with those and check them properly.

I'm finding more and more BOATs are becoming restricted :(
Last year while doing some laning I was surprised my sat nav actually took my town one lane that wasn't on the Landranger map as a BOAT. There are quite a few Byways down this way but favourite Byways are in the Surrey Hills :)
