Subject: FORD--What goes around. . came back and bit them
Russell Long, the executive director of Bluewater Network, conceived
and drafted the California global warming law, which his organization
sponsored, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from passenger vehicles.
Last week, Bluewater Network launched a national pledge drive to
boycott Ford until the company builds cleaner vehicles.

Bluewater Network is a subsidiary of Earth Island Institute. Many of
you will remember the very first e-mails urging a boycott against FORD
when they donated $5 million to Earth Island Institute in the Fall of
2000. The boycott was fully launched the following spring after
hearing of more donations to non-governmental extremists.
In February of this year I was listening to early am stock reports on
FOX News where they were discussing Ford Motor Company putting up
bonds for sale. When asked what it meant, the stock analyst replied
that it was essentially a bet from Ford that they wouldn't go bankrupt
this year; and that for some unexplained reason, Ford sales had
reached an all-time low while the other manufactures seemed to be
doing very well.
Geee, don't you wonder if Bill Ford wishes he had made better choices?
The FORD Boycott should represent the best example of a combined
effort: When we all take aim at the same target, we're more than
likely to obliterate it.
