Engine: 2.25 litre petrol. Zenith Carb. Oil cooler.
Twin fuel tanks.
This 24V FFR vehicle is ex-RAF. Demobbed in 1994 the vehicle then went to 1 private owner before sitting in a garage yard for 4 years until 1998 when I purchased it. New clutch in 1998. 24V electrical system retained.
The vehicle is in good condition for its age. New rear spring chassis outrigger and rear cross member in last 3 years. Remainder of chassis in good order.
Fully working Fairey capstan winch fitted. Overhauled with new mounting plate in 2010. Winch is complete with drive dog, shaft and universal joint.
New batteries 2012.
Vehicle painted in NATO matt olive and gloss cream hard top in 2011.
The vehicle has done around 95k miles but this cannot be verified.
Towing hitch and 12V trailer electrics (socket and indicator buzzer) fitted.
Vehicle runs well and has been a reliable performer. Never used off road in my ownership and has not been regularly used for towing.
Forthcoming emigration abroad forces reluctant sale of this much loved old friend.
