Fob problems

Hi Folks,
Newbie so pls don't flame me.

I have a Freelander 2, The fob is not keeping the charge, spare is working fine. When I drive it for a few hours, it works for a while. then does not open/close doors, etc...
I realise that I may need new fob BUT the main dealers are charging me €260 for a new fob + programming.

Is their any ALTERNATE solution, I don't know of any independent LR dealers in Donegal Ireland. :-(

hi there are no idependent Dealers that I know of in Ireland the nearst landrover dealer is in eniskilin on the road out to Belfast on the left
