Floor panels

What should be holing down the (removable) floor panels under passenger and driver feet? Someone has used some great big self tapping bolt things on mine. Should it be screws and spire nuts?

Also is it possible to get some sort of sealing tape, sticky one side, foam/rubber other to help seal this?

I used reg plate tape to seal around the lids of my under seat boxes. The floor panels, as far as I know, are just screws and plastic captive thingymabobs

Originally it would have had self tapping screws which went into plastic fixings

Have a look at the exploded parts diagram

In truth any sort of fixing just to stop them moving about is fine, and yes they also had self adhesive foam strips between the plate and the chassis
