flintstoning freelander

i have just bought a 2001 freelander 1.8 petrol, it was fine when i got it drove perfect but recently ive been having to push the clutch hard to the floor to get into gear hence 'flintstonin' i fink my foots gona go thru the floor. its getting really hard at lights etc to put it into 1st!

First thing to check is the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder - top it up with DOT4 to the 'full' mark if needed.

If it isn't that I'm sure one of the regular Freelanderers will be along shortly
