FL2 New rear wiper motor fuse blowing

Hi All
I've replaced the rear wiper motor with what seems to be a direct replacement for the part number 53029112. Amazingly easy to replace, however when reconnected it just blows the fuse as soon as I turn the wiper on. Any ideas why? and how I might fix this?

I'd suggest the replacement is faulty.

Just as a follow up for anyone else who reads. I sent it back and got a refund. Ordered from a different supplier and it worked fine. Many thanks Nodge68
