My 2008 diesel FL2 decided to just cut out last night when I came to a stop at some traffic lights (car had only travelled a mile after being stood all day) It restarted immediately and as I got through the lights it cut out again and I coasted to a stop.
After reading the threads on this forum there was one from 2022 which describes what I was experiencing and it was suggesting that the crank sensor needs to be replaced which is behind the drivers side wheel arch. Can somebody show me what this sensor looks like as the sensor I am bringing u looks like one I replaced a while back but it was at the top of the engine and was again some sort of crank sensor.
Thanks

Freelander 2 (LR2) - Unsolved Problem? ... My engine just cuts out ... dead!
Well, after 4 garages, two separate Land Rover specialists, a LR main dealer a Car electronics specialist, and an ECU specialist, and the forking out of about just under £900 , on top of the 5K I forked out to repatriate the car, I am still none the wiser, so have decided to scrap the car .
