Hi all,

On another UK LR forum I've seen an entry of a guy who spent quite a while in kosovo. He says that more and more the FL1 is used by embassy personnel, military and also the whole Swedish KFOR unit uses it, in replacement of the Discovery and RangeRover's. After it's been replaced by the FL2 the old (our) girl gets the attention and recognition it never got before.;)

:) :) :) :) I'M SAYIN NUFFINK :) :) :) :)

Yer right there Chromium... there aren't many cars with so little value they can get shot to bits and be worth slightly more as scrap value afterwards are there?

Adz,
Yer right to say that Freelanders are good value, but yer preaching to the converted, still it's nice to see you've seen sense.......took a while though.

Only you would think of giving away money for something that has less value than spent bullets was 'good value'...

...on the plus side I've got an entire bucket of rawlplug holes here I can let you have for a tenner. Now that's some serious value fella ;)

What no 90_Boy comment in here ?

I love our little freelander, did seriously well offroad when we took it out last, drives well on the road as well, I think the biggest problem is the mechanical gremlins that seem to creep in, all the time you got one that isnt playing up they are great little motors, every car has its vices, my 200Tdi Disco included.

Awe Adz, come on, yer Defender aint that bad. The chassis can be welded & the body panels could be replaced with secondhand. Yer right though, it's not bad value at a tenner but not for me. Now if it had been a Freelander.........................................
