fitting snorkel

hi hope this makes sense if i want to fit a snorkel to my series 3 can i not just cut a tee into the pipe that goes to the air filter ,or have i got it completely wrong any advise would be great

Errr, wrong I think. Isn't the idea of a snork to stop water etc getting sucked into the filter?

with a series ( or any veh) for a snorkel to be effective the only point that air (water) can enter the system must be the top of the snorkle pipe . The gen LR system replaced the air cleaner with one that had an outlet and inlet pipe instead of outlet pipe and inlet louvre around top of aircleaner HTSH
