Hi, I've got a Kenlowe fan kit to fit on my TD5, can anyone give me some tips on where to site the controller unit?
The instructions tell you to fit the temperature sensor near the top hose inlet of the rad, due to the length of the cable this means that the controller will have to be sited somewhere on the nearside (left hand) of the vehicle, I've had a good look around and I haven't been able to find somewhere suitable within reach...??
Any other tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Stoford.

I fitted one of these to my dads p38 diesel last week, it has quietened it down no end and strangely it seems to run a lot smoother. Anyway i don`t know if this will help but i made an L shaped bracket with the one side shaped to match the thermostat and drilled 2 holes through it into the front slam panel at the side of the top hose (to the right looking into the engine bay from the font of the car). This place made it easy to get to the small temperature adjustment screw, all the other wires easily routed along the main wiring harness.
I would be intrested to know what you think about the fan on the TD5 when you have it fitted, it has made my dads p38 seem like a diffrent motor.

I fitted one to my old defender 90 (non turbo) and it really improved things.
It was quite easy to fit as there was plenty of space under the bonnet.
