Fitting Front Recovery Points - Holes Don't Line Up...

Hi,

I bought some front recovery loops a while back to put on the front of my series 3 - I went to fit them over the weekend but it seems the holes don't line up (the dumb iron set of holes are the correct spacing though):



When it came, it was fitted with a bullbar that was only bolted in on the rear holes - at the time we assumed that it was from a defender or the like and bodged on to fit, but now I'm not so sure...

So - is the bumper the thing that's been bodged on, or is the loop wrong, or both?

I had a look at lrseries and it doesn't look like their series bumpers have a second set of holes in, which threw me somewhat...

The series bumper only has two mounting bolts at each side so you will need to drill new ones for the other two.

OK - thanks for that - should the 'tab' on the series bumper be longer - looks a bit iffy trying to drill through the weld!
