fitted new bits

This weekend fitted a new cross member to my SIII and a new passenger footwell, just got the drivers footwell to do next then I can start on the mechanical bits.

Yep welded all around, don't want the back flying off when someone tugs me out of a muddy hole or when I pull someone else out of a muddy hole.
With the body off it is easier to get at all the other bits, I have set my self a time table of end of December to have it back together, but I'm not sure which year.

mine took just over a year, that was from the chassis up to mot, if yer need any advice or even spares give us a shout

Thanks for the advice e.t.c., but did you always intend yours to take a year or did it just grow into a year long project ?

i had no plan of how long it was going to take, but i only worked on it on a sunday for about 6 months and i was on holiday for 4 weeks, plus doing "other jobs" caround the house to keep the doris happy

its in bits agin now, fittin a new rear axle when me bits come from paddocks
